Its been raining here all week.  Yesterday we had about 5 inches. When it rains like that or snows I love to bake.  My family does not complain one bit!  I made 3 batches of cookies from what has become my favorite cookie recipe now.  When I was younger, I wouldn't make anything from a box, but now that I am older , I take short cuts whenever I can.  I am a big fan of Pinterest and got the recipe from there. Its very adaptable for most cookies you want to make.  I made pumpkin cookies, substituting a box of Fun Fetti cake mix for the white cake mix and  added  1/2 cup of Pure Pumpkin and 1tsp of nutmeg and a bag of cinnamon chips. And frosted them with canned cream cheese frosting. They turned out well, soft and cake like. They were a big hit!

                                                    

Fall Card

I used Stephanie Bernard's Sizzix Windows Stamps & Dies for this card. This set can be used for so many different themes.  The leaves and acorns were made with Spellbinders Fall Foliage Die Set. The pumpkins are from Michael's Craft Store.

This is the view from our deck. Its so nice to get up in the morning and see the mountains rather then the back of someones house!

My name is Diane. I am new at this blogging thing , so please bare with me. I started this blog, because, well , I just wanted a blog to share some of my handmade cards, recipes and cards from others I like. Also some of the sites and blogs that are of interest to me.

I spent a "few" hours last night trying to figure some of this out.  I still don't understand it all, but I am getting there. So if you see something that is'nt quite right its just me still trying to figure it out.
